Women stand tall in Queensland broker awards

Sisters are doing it for themselves in Queensland, scooping up an unprecedented four out of five finalist spots for NIBA’s prestigious broker awards.

Whitbread Queensland General Manager Vanessa Miller and AMS Director Anna Sayers have been announced as the two finalists for the Queensland Broker of the Year Award.

Sponsored by Zurich, the national Broker of the Year Award winner receives an overseas travel and business development experience valued in the region of $20,000. InterRISK’s John Mutton won the national award in 2014.

Meanwhile, the three contenders for the Queensland Young Professional Broker of the Year Award are:

  • Brent Jaenke – Manager – Affinity (QLD), JLT
  • Bronte Neville – Client Executive, Queenscorp
  • Shantelle Scovell – Account Executive,  JLT

The winner of this award will go on to contest the national Warren Tickle Memorial Award, the winner of which claims a tailored personal and business development experience to the approximate value of $10,000, courtesy of Vero. Willis’s Adele May claimed the title last year.

The winners of the career-changing awards will be revealed at the NIBA Queensland Expo Lunch on Wednesday 15 July, with the winners moving on to contest the national awards at the 2015 NIBA Convention in Melbourne this September.

The finalists for the Victorian/Tasmanian awards were announced earlier this month.
