We will continue our tradition of bringing the game to the broader community and support professionals to occasional golfers and the next generation.”
JLT aims to improve the risk profile of golf clubs across Australia, who unite communities and bring together people of all ages and cultures.
Stephen Pitt, CEO of Golf Australia, expressed the national body’s delight in forging a long term partnership with JLT.
“We’re incredibly excited to have one of the world’s leading providers of insurance and risk management align with golf in this country,” said Pitt.
“To have such a global brand investing in the game through Golf Australia and more specifically the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open is a really positive message on the state of the game in this country. We pride ourselves on the work invested into women’s golf through the event and also our female participation program, Swing Fit, and are really encouraged that it continues to attract strong corporate support.”
Stacey Peters, seven-time winner on the Australian Ladies Professional Golf (ALPG) Tour, two-time winner on the Ladies European Tour, and Golf Australia’s Female Pathway Manager, is delighted with the focus on women’s golf, commenting: “The support and change in mentality we are seeing now is breaking down barriers for female golfers. It’s going to be a big year and I am looking forward to more golf, more often, for everyone.”
Passionate about levelling the field, Leo Demer added: “No matter who you are or where you are from, JLT’s role is to support and protect the game and its players. We look forward to working with Golf Australia and using our deep risk expertise to empower and take the game to new heights.”
